Ciao members of the Italian Genesis community,
Steve Hackett will perform an acoustic and an electric set at the French STEVE HACKETT EVENT - MAY 22nd + 23rd 2010 - in ALSACE FRANCE, at the French/German/Swiss corner a few miles from Basel.
 
Different from a single gig, different from a busy festival, we try to put you in the countryside for two relaxed days and maintain following concept:
Putting fans and artists together in a quiet and nice place for a better view on work in a family-like and original atmosphere.
In our opinion, an event is made to realise this fosters closeness between the artist and his audience - discovering or rediscovering songs in a more relaxed atmosphere, from a more accessible angle.
As the monday (24th) is free, because of the Pentecost Day, we will be able to use the full 2 days for this next event edition. Besides the both Steve's performances, the programme is including shows, documents, videos, audios, audience interviews with Steve, meetings, suprises and this time, a professional cook comes especialy for the event and will prepare the finest meals for the eventers at reasonable rates!
The place is very nice, in the ghosty Jurassic south part of Alsace, the location has a nice view amongst mountains and storytelling countryside, here is a shot taken from the terrace of the location that will be used for pauses, drinks and meals:
The location is called La Gare, means "the station" which is a nice coincidence to Steve's new album and tourname.
For the moment, we all are fine tuning several aspects of this convention, so you will be soon informed about programme, rates, tickets, reservations, accomodation etc... it will be updated on a regular basis here:

- All bands will do a special Setup for the Event, including some covers of Steve Hackett songs or contributions with Genesis.
The Watch will play some further songs together with John Hackett.
Ange's keyboarder will present his version of some of Steve's numbers, amongst one song from Voyage of the Acolyte.
Unifaun will appear for the first time with their new live lineup.
